This year the Atlantik Systeme GmbH celebrates its 20th anniversary and operates as independent Value Add Distributor for active networking systems.
Today the focus is on Ethernet switches and data center management products. But what changed in a fast moving industry during the past twenty years?
We are back in the year 1989. PCs are based on the Intel 80386, with up to 16MB, and the hard drives memory is about 60 MB. Recognized at this point the global networking via Ethernet, Token rings and other technologies begun. Ottmar Flach, CEO of the Atlantik Networxx AG, early detected the arising mass market and founded the Atlantik Systeme GmbH as a distributor for networking adapters and floating point processors. With that he built the bridge from the well running business of semiconductor devices, executed by the associated company Atlantik Elektronik, to board level and system products.
